London-based international fashion fundi Elodie, a smart, stylish entrepreneur who has spent many years working in large fashion companies, decided it was time to step out and create her own brand.

Elodie chose Bronte Road, down the street from the famous Westfields Bondi Junction Shopping Centre, as the location of her new pilot store. This is a central location, running past Charing Cross and all the way up through Queens Park to Randwick. With so much distraction and surrounding retail, the new addition of Elodie’s store needed to stand out: Bronte Road has approximately a hundred shops along the strip and most of the retail stores have under-awning signage to communicate their businesses. Also, the majority of the buildings that house these shops were built in the 1940s and have a very quaint and unique English-style look, usually housing stores downstairs and accommodation or office space upstairs. Thus, the signage choice and design would need to complement the permanent surroundings.

Elodie chooses Signs360

Once Elodie signed the lease and started on the shop-fitting process that would result in her dream boutique, signmakers and sign manufacturers took note of the Bronte Road newcomer and immediately began to vie for her business. After meeting with numerous signage companies, Elodie chose Signs360 above the others as the image creators that would project her brand into the public sphere.

On meeting with Signs360, Elodie discussed how she wanted to portray her image and corporate branding in front of her store and the entire signage project was put in the hands of Marc Levy, a director at iSpace. Marc devised the concept and design for Elodie’s store, utilising shades of pink, black and white to create a very elegant and sophisticated look for this beautiful store; one that mirrors the style of the international fashion industry, as well as the professional image and passion of its owner. A beautiful, trendy boutique emerged from the bustle of Bronte Road, with a sign outside on the fascias and main windows, spelling out the brand Elodies.
